On the evening of September 28, 2012, the Chinese Embassy in Namibia held a grand gala to celebrate the 63rd anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. More than 300 people including representatives of overseas Chinese in Namibia, Chinese-funded institutions, medical aid teams, teacher groups, monitoring and control stations, and expert groups attended the meeting.
Ambassador Xin Shunkang said in his speech that since the founding of the People’s Republic of China 63 years ago, especially over 30 years of reform and opening up, our great motherland has made unprecedented progress in various fields including politics, economy, culture, and society. International influence has been greatly improved.
Under the strong leadership of the Communist Party of China and the Chinese government, we have overcome the impact of the global financial crisis, maintained sustained and stable economic development and social stability and harmony in China, adhered to the path of peaceful development and an independent foreign policy, and unswervingly safeguarded national sovereignty and territory Integrity, and has made a positive contribution to promoting the establishment of a new world order of lasting peace and common prosperity.
Ambassador Xin Shunkang pointed out that in the 22 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Namibia, the relations between the two sides in the fields of politics, economy, military, education, and culture have achieved considerable development. This is inseparable from the hard work of everyone in their respective positions. I hope to meet new challenges, explore new ideas, actively build a good image, and strive to integrate into the local society in Namibian business and Chinese-funded institutions, and make new contributions to further promote China-Namibia cooperation in various fields and consolidate the friendly relations between the two countries, and meet with new achievements. The 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China was successfully held.
Chinese and overseas Chinese and representatives of Chinese-funded institutions also spoke separately, expressing their vision for a bright future for the motherland and their determination to do a good job in various tasks and make new contributions to the promotion of China-Namibia friendship.
