He emphasized that the friendship between China and Namibia has a long history and the Chinese government is willing to help Namibia develop in various fields; he hopes that Chinese companies in Namibia will deepen cooperation with local companies in Namibia, actively fulfill their social responsibilities, and help Namibia's economic and social development. Prime Minister Geingob then made a keynote speech. He thanked China for its long-term concern for Namibia's energy and education needs, and appreciated the generous assistance of New Era Corporation, and hoped that solar energy applications can be extended to the vast rural areas of the country to help solve the poverty problem. He also emphasized that China is a powerful partner from the third world. Chinese companies abide by the law in Namibia and help Namibia's development.
