On January 27th, employees of our Wendu headquarters were invited to participate in the 2018 Chinese New Year Gala for Chinese in Namibia and wish the people across the country. Ambassador Zhang Yiming attended and delivered a speech. Lin Jindan, President of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Namibia (Chinese Chamber of Commerce) , Executive Vice President Fu Xinli, Namibian Minister of Land and Reform Utoni and other officials, as well as Chinese and overseas Chinese in Namibia attended the event.

In his speech, Ambassador Zhang first extended his festive greetings to all the Chinese and overseas Chinese living in Namibia, the employees of Chinese enterprises in Namibia, the medical aid team, the teachers and students of the Confucius Institute in Namibia, and the economic development of Namibia to all the Chinese and overseas Chinese in Namibia And the important contributions made by social progress are affirmed and highly appreciated. Ambassador Zhang briefly introduced the domestic situation and the work done by the embassy last year. He hopes that the majority of overseas Chinese will continue to carry forward the spirit of patriotism and love the country, give full play to their own strengths, forge ahead, face the future, transform and upgrade under the premise of abiding by local laws, and continue to make new careers. To develop, maintain the good image of Chinese citizens, continue to build bridges of friendship between China and Namibia, and contribute to the creation of China-Namibia relations and China-Africa relations in the new era.
